God doesn't desire religion but a relationship with you. All throughout the Bible God has desired to walk and talk with people.

We are have all sinned (Romans 3:23) and because of that our relationship with God has been broken both now and eternally (Romans 6:23). Many think that through "religion" they can earn God's favor back. So they go to church a bunch, give money away, try to pray & help all the old ladies across the street they can find. They maybe have good intentions but are incorrect in thinking that if they are a "good person" then maybe God could let them go to Heaven. That would be like standing in a court of law saying "I know I have broken the law but look at all the good I have done." If the judge let you off the hook that wouldn't be justice.

The Bible is clear that we are not good (Romans 3:10). So what we need is a Savior... we need Jesus. Fortunately, God loves us and desires a relationship with us so much that He sent his Son Jesus to die for us in our place (John 3:16). He made a payment for our sins, and so now God can offer eternal life as a free gift that doesn't have to be earned (Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8). In the courtroom, a judge can look at our case, see that we are guilty but then see that someone else paid our fine and then let us go free. Jesus paid our fine! Now, out of gratitude, since He gave up his life for us, we respond and give our lives to Him. We trust & follow His words given to us in the form of the Bible.

You can know where you will spend eternity and start your relationship with Jesus Christ today. Just as spouses being their relationship by pledging their commitment with each other God is looking for people to pledge their commitment to Him. Don't wait! Tell us if you have questions or if you have started a new relationship with Christ by filling out the boxes below :-)
